The Details:

Includes your annual Tax Return: Your annual income tax return will always be included. Why don’t I have to charge extra for it? Because if we’ve been doing our due diligence and staying on top of things all year long, tax return time should be a breeze!

IRS Account Transcript Monitoring: Did you know that we can often see signs of an audit of your return up to 6 months in advance of when you actually get the notice from the IRS? By monitoring your account, we can see if there are any review activities, and also see when important things post such as payment, payroll remittance, etc. Plus, we will have your personal Wage & Income transcript for tax time, ensuring we do not miss anything!

Review of your Quickbooks file: We will take a look at your books and be sure everything is tracking properly, identify any outliers, and be sure categorization is happening properly between the Profit & Loss statement and the Balance Sheet. This helps prevent costly “clean up” exercises during tax season when we should just be filing tax returns!

BOOKS DONE IN HOUSE: We will handle the books for you via Quickbooks. This base fee includes categorization for up to 100 monthly transactions, and reconciliation for 2 basic accounts (usually one checking and one credit card account). Greater needs will incur greater fees, and we will discuss and quote those up front prior to signing on. This also includes monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reports for us to review together.

Planning meeting with Sabrina: We will sit down on Zoom, one one one (or one on two if you spouse is involved, or one on 3 if you have business partners you want to bring in) and see where there is room for improvement in your tax situation, or discuss any upcoming life events so we take the optimized path through them (or at least understand the outcomes if we cant control the path).

Updated Estimated Tax Payments Calculation: Your tax return will always come with pre-populated estimated quarterly tax payment vouchers. But what happens if we make more money? Or, dont make as much? Do you want a big bill at the end of the year? Or cant afford to make your payment because it was a rough quarter/month? We will calculate your payments in REAL TIME so you arent forking over too much, or too little. Some folks even like to do this monthly instead of quarterly so that bill isn’t as big.

Answer Bookkeeper Questions: If you aren’t using us as your bookkeeper, bookkeepers tend to have lots of questions. During your quarterly or monthly planning meeting, we can loop in the bookkeeper and get all of their questions answered.

Written response to IRS/State Notice (Limit to first 3): Sometimes, all it takes is a well drafted response, citing the correct regulations we used, and an official signature to make your problem go away. Why do we limit it to the first 3? Because after that, you have a bigger problem. We are looking at audits or representation work at that point.

Monthly support for your accountable expense plan: How do business owners reimburse themselves for things like home offices, personal car use, utilities, payments made from personal cards, etc? An Accountable Plan! A well maintained one will ensure that you are taking advantage of the tax laws that allow you to be reimbursed by your business, TAX FREE!

Monthly review of mileage logs: The number one most disallowed expense that I see is vehicle mileage deduction. Why? Because people don’t keep good mileage logs!! We will review these monthly to be sure they have the detail and categorization you need to defend yourself should the IRS ask to see it.

IRS Audit Support (up to 10 hours): As long as there is no conflict of interest, we will help represent you in your first 10 hours of audit support. Why only 10? Because anything more than that and we likely have bigger issues and need an attorney to be involved.

Unlimited phone/email support: I like to think this one is pretty self explanatory.

Annual review and update of your Tax Plan: An annual review of your tax plan first requires that you have a written tax plan to begin with. Need your tax plan built? No problem. Head HERE.
